Mark Anson and Curtis Ishii were promoted to senior investment officers at the California Public Employees Retirement System, Sacramento, splitting former staffer Bob Boldts job in two, said Brad Pacheco, CalPERS spokesman. Mr. Anson will oversee equities at the $175 billion system; he was a senior principal investment officer for internal equities. Mr. Ishii, who will oversee fixed income, was a senior principal investment officer for U.S. fixed income.
Richard Hayes was promoted to senior principal investment officer for alternative investments. The fund is still seeking a replacement for Guy F. Jaquier, who had overseen the funds real estate investments.
