United Asset Management agreed to make Vestek’s Portfolio Analyzer, a new portfolio attribution analysis program, available to its 42 money management affiliates via the web. Jonathan Hubbard, UAM spokesman, said the Vestek offering is the first broad-based performance attribution program offered at the holding company level; its use is voluntary by UAM affiliates.
‘‘We considered a number of other tools, but found that Vestek was best suited to serve our existing needs, with the functionality and versatility to accommodate future growth,’’ said Dean Freking, senior product analyst at UAM.
