Vermont State Retirement System, Montpelier, expects to name an actuary for its three defined benefit plans, which have a combined value of $2.25 billion, by June 30, when its contract with incumbent Buck Consultants expires. The plans have been pleased with Bucks service and the firm is still in the running, said James Douglas, state treasurer.
