COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Ohio School Employees' Retirement System hired Duncan-Hurst Capital Management and Suffolk Capital Management to manage $50 million each in active domestic small-cap growth equity portfolios, said Doug Sisson, chief investment officer for the $8.7 billion pension fund.
Funding comes from a passive domestic small-cap equity portfolio managed by State Street Global Advisors, which will keep $250 million.
The fund also hired Foreign & Colonial Emerging Markets to manage a $50 million emerging market portfolio. Funding will come from a passive international equity portfolio also managed by SSgA, which will retain $800 million.
The reallocations are intended to further diversify the fund, said Mr. Sisson.
