The Police & Firemens Disability & Pension Fund of Ohio, Columbus, issued an RFP for a high-yield bond manager to handle $460 million, said Allen Procter, executive director. This is a new asset class for the $9.2 billion fund. The RFP is posted on the funds website, www.op-f.org/highyield. Proposals are due June 30, and a final decision is expected by early September.
Funding will come from fixed income, the target allocation of which was decreased to 23% from 35% of total assets as the result of an asset-liability study.
