Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management Board is searching for an active manager to run $350 million in domestic small-cap equity, to be benchmarked against either the Russell 2500 or Wilshire 4500 indexes. The Boston-based board, which oversees the $30 billion plan, is accepting RFPs until May 22.
Last month, the board voted to shift the portfolio from passive domestic small-cap equity, where the pension fund was overweighed due to strong performance.
