New York City Police Pension Fund, with $18 billion in assets, provided a $1.2 million mortgage to help refurbish 76 Brooklyn apartments and a $529,000 mortgage for the renovation of 16 housing units in Harlem, said Alan G. Hevesi, New York City comptroller. The mortgages are part of the systems economically targeted investments and are guaranteed by government agencies.
