Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, Arlington, Va., may add private equity to its asset allocation. The $211.1 million fund had stayed away from the asset class because of its need for liquidity it paid out a whopping $43.1 million last year, according to James L. Koltes, chairman of the asset allocation committee. The fund has 70% in domestic stocks, 5% in international stocks, 12% in fixed income and 13% in a long-short or absolute-return strategy.
