Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association chose to file a staff report recommending internal management of a portion of its $8.5 billion in indexed assets, in effect killing the proposal. Staff for the $27 billion fund had proposed moving in-house $500 million to $1 billion in assets currently handled by Barclays Global Investors. The manager runs S&P 500, Russell 1000 Value, MSCI EAFE, MSCI Europe and Lehman Aggregate Bond index funds for LACERA.
