Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment anagement Board, Boston, will search for a manager to run a $350 million active small-cap portfolio, using either the Wilshire 4500 or Russell 2500 index as its benchmark. The board approved the motion this week and will issue RFPs in the next few weeks. The $30 billion fund is restructuring its equity portfolio, which had become overweighted in passively managed assets because of strong performance.
