Samsung Electronics America Inc., Ridgefield Park, N.J., has replaced all of the investment options in its $9 million 401(k) plan with 17 new ones, including a self-directed brokerage account being handled by Schwab, said Alicia Bergstein, Samsung human resources manager. The company also hired Diversified Investment Advisors as its new bundled-service provider, replacing Merrill Lynch, she said.
The new investments comprise money market, core bond, high-yield bond, equity income, growth and income, stock index, equity growth, special equity, aggressive equity and international equity funds; a stable-value portfolio; and Diversified Strategic Allocation short horizon, short/intermediate horizon, intermediate horizon, intermediate/long horizon and long horizon funds.
