Kathleen Smythe was hired by Putnam, Lovell, de Guardiola & Thornton as managing director and head of a new group focused on investment banking services for banks and finance companies.
Ms. Smythe brought along a team from Bank of America Securities (formerly Montgomery Securities), where she had headed the financial services corporate finance group. They are: Alan E. Rothenberg, senior consultant; Jeffrey J. Wishner, senior vice president; Steven A. Moya, associate; and Sarah E. Weigman, analyst.
