FTSE International and Reuters have teamed up to offer sector coverage of global stocks to money managers and broker dealers. The goal of the partnership, which is called the FTSE-Reuters Classification Service, is to classify 35,000 companies in more than 50 countries in the next 12 months. Reuters now has companies classified by country and industry in its database. FTSE already has started the project, classifying 4,500 companies.
