State Universities Retirement System of Illinois, Champaign, narrowed its search for active international equity managers to three finalists, said John R. Krimmel, acting chief investment officer for the $11.8 billion pension fund. They are ValueQuest/TA, Oechsle International Advisors and Dresdner RCM Global Investors. Trustees are expected to hire two managers. A decision could come next month.
The moves are part of the systems effort to increase its active international equities allocation. Funding would come from a $1.5 billion passive international equities portfolio managed by Barclays Global Investors.
Ennis Knupp assisted in the search.
