NEW YORK -- Bear Stearns will begin using Trading Technologies Inc.'s, electronic trading platform X_Trader for trading derivatives.
The platform provides electronic access to derivatives products traded on the LIFFE, Eurex, CME, MATIF and MONEP exchanges. And the company is planning to start providing access to more global markets in the near future.
Trading Technologies, which provides single-point to multimarket electronic trading systems, also has launched X_Risk, a comprehensive risk management application for X_Trader.
X_Risk allows trading desk managers to monitor and manage risk on a firmwide basis.
The application allows managers to look at different positions created in both the current day and past days.
Managers then can select the parameters with which X_Risk will compile and display positions -- either by trader, by product, or by other parameters selected by the client.
