Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, State Employes Retirement System, Harrisburg, has approved $230 million in private equity allocations, said Tony Parisi, spokesman for the $25 billion system. They are: U.S. Venture Partners VII LP, up to $30 million; L.L.R. Equity Partners LP, up to $25 million; TPG Partners III LP, up to $75 million; Polaris Ventures III LP, up to $50 million; J.H. Whitney IV LP, up to $20 million; and Mid-Atlantic Venture Fund IV LP, up to $30 million. All allocations will be funded from cash and are subject to successful contract negotiations.
