Hallmark Cards Inc., Kansas City, Mo., hired Financial Engines to provide investment advice for the 10,000 participants in its four 401(k) plans, which total $546 million, said Tresia Franklin, Hallmark’s director of benefits. Hallmark executives thought investment advice would be a ‘‘helpful tool’’ for employees, Ms. Franklin said. ‘‘It’s an additional form of education.’’
