David B.H. Martin was named director of SECs division of corporation finance. Mr. Martin, previously a partner in the Washington law firm of Hogan & Hartson, succeeds Brian J. Lane. Mr. Lane announced his resignation several months ago and is joining the Washington office of the law firm of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher as partner. David has the judgment and insight to lead corporation finance as the commission grapples with the challenges posed by the markets of the next millennium, said SEC Chairman Arthur Levitt in a statement.
