ACS Communications, a majority-owned investment of Behrman Capital, has acquired ICG Fiber Optic Technologies from ICG Communications. Terms of the transaction between the two regional providers of structured cabling infrastructures were not disclosed. Behrman Capital, a private equity firm, will continue to be the majority shareholder of the combined company. Investors in Behrman Capital include the $110 billion New York State Common Retirement Fund, Albany; the $8.3 billion Kansas Public Employees Retirement System, Topeka; the $6.2 billion pension fund of Pfizer Inc., New York; the $6.4 billion pension fund of Unisys Corp., Blue Bell, Pa.; and the $1.2 billion pension fund of Mead Corp., Dayton, Ohio.
