Goodyear Canada, Etobicoke, Ontario, selected Northern Trust as custodian and trustee for its pension fund, confirmed Barry W. Gilmour, manager-pension fund administration. The pension fund — which had total assets of about U.S.$230 million, according to the Canadian Pension Fund Investment Directory — had used Royal Trust as its custodian, Mr. Gilmour said. Royal was replaced because Goodyear Canada’s parent company, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Akron, Ohio, has a global custody mandate and wanted to consolidate the services under one umbrella.
