Georgia-Pacific Corp., Atlanta, hired Merrill Lynch to manage $57 million in the Merrill Lynch Enhanced International Fund for its $2.2 billion defined benefit master trust. The objective of the fund is to return 150 to 200 basis points above the EAFE index. Bankers Trust previously managed the portfolio. Frank Salerno and Rick Vella, who left Bankers Trust in July for Merrill Lynch, will continue to manage it, said John Stettler, Georgia-Pacific vice president-benefit investments. "We felt they were the ones responsible for the account, Mr. Stettler said. Bankers Trust officials declined to comment.
