Barbara S. Walchli was hired by Aquila Management as a portfolio manager for the Aquila Rocky Mountain Equity Fund, which invests in companies based in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. Ms. Walchli had been a portfolio manager at Banc One Investment Advisors. The fund was subadvised for the past five years by Randall D. Greer of KPM Investment Management. The decision to bring it in-house was motivated by a change of direction by the company and was not performance-related, said Diana Herrmann, Aquila’s president.
