Currency managers performed poorly in June, according to the Parker FX index, which was down 0.71% for the month. Of the 54 programs in the index, 34 had losses for the month and 20 posted positive results. On a risk-adjusted basis the index was down 1.26% for the month. Year-to-date the index is up 2.28% as reported, but down 0.05% on a risk-adjusted basis. The top performer for June, on a reported basis, was Colorado Commodities Management, which was up 5.30%. The Parker FX index, produced by Parker Global Strategies, Stamford, Conn., is a performance-based benchmark that measures both the reported and risk-adjusted returns of global currency managers.
