William Sterling and Stephen Waite have left Credit Suisse Asset Management, said Jeremy Conde, spokesman for the firm. Mr. Sterling was a managing director and head of an EAFE growth portfolio. Mr. Waite was a director and portfolio manager with the same portfolio.
The two will be replaced with current CSAM executives. Global CIO Larry Smith, who recently joined CSAM from J.P. Morgan, and Steven Bleiberg, a managing director, will make the top-down, macroeconomic decisions on the portfolio, said Mr. Conde.
Mr. Sterling also was co-head of the firms investment policy group. Dilip Rasgotra, head of global fixed income who shared the title with Mr. Sterling will now be sole head of the group.
Mr. Conde would not speculate about the reasons for the departures and added he did not know where either had gone. Both joined the firm in 1995 from Merrill Lynch.
