National Office Partners, a joint venture between the $157 billion California Public Employees Retirement System and Hines, has acquired 1776 G St. in downtown Washington from the Robert T. Foley Co. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Located one block from the White House, the 260,000 square foot, eight-story building is 100% leased. Prominent tenants include the World Bank, Abu Dhabi International Bank and American Intercontinental University. This marks the sixth building acquisition made by National Office Partners, which was formed last year to help Sacramento-based CalPERS grow and maximize the value of its existing office portfolio.
