District of Columbia Retirement Board is searching for a domestic small-cap to midcap equities manager, said Jorge Morales, executive director. Trustees for the $1.7 billion fund later this month will interview five finalists. Mr. Morales declined to name the finalists. The board has not yet decided how much money to allocate to the new manager; more details will be available after the boards July 7 meeting, he said. The bulk of the funds assets were transferred to the Treasury Department on April 30.
