Kansas State University Foundation, Manhattan, hired Cambridge Associates as full-retainer consultant to conduct an asset allocation study for its $146 million endowment, said David Weaver, vice president of real estate and investments. Cambridge replaces Farm Bureau Capital Management, which will remain a consultant to the endowment, he said. The current mix is 37% domestic equity; 14% core fixed income; 13% real estate; 9.5% international equity; 7.5% emerging markets; 5% private equity; 5% high-yield bonds; 4% venture capital; 3% natural resources; and 2% distressed debt. The study should be completed by August.
