Los Angeles City Employees Retirement System board is close to making a decision on hiring a new manager for a $542.9 million EAFE index fund currently managed by State Street Global Advisors, whose contract has expired. SSgA has rebid. Separately, the board authorized staff to renegotiate its contract with Schroder Capital Management, which runs a $313 million emerging markets equity portfolio. Schroders contract expires July 31. Its allocation target is 3.5% of the $7 billion total portfolio, said Dan Gallagher, the funds chief investment officer.
