The Canton of Zurich, Switzerland, pension fund hired two money managers to invest in international convertible portfolios, said Daniel Gloor, head of the cantons asset management department. Officials of the 17 billion Swiss franc ($11.3 billion) fund hired Credit Suisse Asset Management and Fisch Asset Management to run portfolios of 50 million Swiss francs ($33 million) each, which will increase to 100 million Swiss francs each over the course of the year, Mr. Gloor said. The hires are due to an increased international convertible bond allocation. The fund currently has a 400 million Swiss franc international convertible bond portfolio managed by Jeffries & Co.
