Stephen W. Kraus, chief counsel of pensions at the American Council of Life Insurance, was named partner at the Washington law firm of Jorden Burt Boros Cicchetti Berenson & Johnson, where he will help develop an ERISA consulting practice. Mr. Kraus’ appointment is effective June 7. The life insurance industry trade association has no immediate plans to replace Mr. Kraus, a spokesman said.
