Mr. Peck will be the head administrator overseeing managers for the $170 million defined benefit plan. His previous position, director of finance, remains vacant.

Mr. Montgomery previously was executive vice president of business development for Prudential's institutional services.

Greg Bundy will be chief operating officer for Merrill Lynch Asset Management, New York, a new position, as of June 1. Mr. Bundy moves over from Merrill Lynch Australia, where he had been co-chief executive officer with John Magowan, according to a company statement. Mr. Magowan will be sole chief executive officer.

Brian S. Allen joined C.S. McKee, Pittsburgh, as a vice president and portfolio manager in the fixed-income group, replacing Nathan Sax, who left the firm last fall. He had worked as a fixed-income portfolio manager at Los Angeles-based Patterson Capital Corp., where he left 10 months ago, said Joseph Patterson, chief investment officer. Mr. Allen's duties were assumed by others at the firm at that time, Mr. Patterson said.

Alan W. Robertson joined Northern Trust Global Investments, Chicago, as senior vice president and director of institutional product development. Mr. Robertson replaces John Hunt, who left more than a year ago, said Stephen N. Potter, senior vice president and director of the institutional group.
