Manchester (N.H.) Employees’ Contributory Retirement System hired BankBoston and Wachovia as its first alternative investment managers to diversify its $85 million fund, said Robert Stanton, executive director. BankBoston will invest $2 million in venture capital and Wachovia will run $4 million in timber.
Both allocations will come from reducing domestic equity investments, he said.
