Montgomery Asset Management will close the now $104 million Montgomery Global Long-Short Fund to new investors before June 30. The funds portfolio managers, Nancy Kukacka and Angeline Ee, buy stocks of companies with strong growth prospects and hedge those investments by shorting businesses with deteriorating fundamentals. The goal is to build a global portfolio that can outperform in up or down markets.
