Esco Electronics Corp., St. Louis, hired Vanguard as record keeper and investment manager for its $115 million 401(k) plan, said Cheri Hoeferlin, benefits manager. Vanguard replaced Bankers Trust, which left the record-keeping business. Esco also dropped the seven investment choices managed by Bankers and dropped three other choices managed by Fidelity, T. Rowe Price and Putnam. Vanguard will offer 12 investment choices, including a small-cap fund, the only one of the previous choices the plan is retaining.
