Miami-Dade (Fla.) Community College hired Taplin, Canida & Habacht as an additional domestic fixed-income manager to run $6 million for diversification, said Eddie Cadens, CFO and treasurer. The hiring was for Miamis $46 million foundation, he said; the college also has an $86 million endowment. Funding for the allocation will come from reducing an $11 million domestic fixed-income portfolio managed by Seneca Capital Management, he added.
