Alameda County Employees Retirement System, Oakland, Calif., selected finalists for non-core real estate investments, concentrated equity investments and custody. Finalists are RREEF, INVESCO and LaSalle Partners. The manager or managers selected should get an allocation of about $100 million from the $3.3 billion fund. Finalists for concentrated equity are TCW, Pacific Financial Research, Oppenheimer Capital and Siphron Capital Management. This will be the systems first entry into concentrated equity. Managers will hold 25 to 35 stocks in the portfolios. The allocation for the manager or managers selected will be $25 million to $50 million. Finalists in the custodial search are Northern Trust, State Street Bank & Trust, Mellon Trust and incumbent Bank of New York.
