Net new international and global assets among the top 10 money managers in that asset class dropped to $25.6 billion in 1998 from $27.1 billion in 1997, a decrease of 5.5%, according to a recent Pensions & Investments survey. Net new assets from U.S. institutional investors to international and global accounts a mix of equity and fixed income, both active and passive styles totaled $36.6 billion last year, a drop of 3.2% from 1997s total of $37.8 billion.
