Public School Teachers Pension and Retirement Fund of Chicago will interview up to six finalists for a large-cap value equity manager on Feb. 19. Portfolio size is yet to be determined, but the board may take assets from the $600 million portfolio of existing large-cap value manager Waddell & Reed, a firm that has had some recent staff turnover, said Mike Nehf, executive director of the $9.5 billion fund. Separately, trustees have re-opened the search for an investment consultant. The deadline for proposals has been extended until the boards June meeting, with no specific due date yet decided. Officials have 12 proposals and will not ask those firms to respond again.
