Georgia-Pacific Corp., Atlanta, hired PIMCO to run a $50 million EAFE portfolio, and Bankers Trust to manage a $55 million enhanced EAFE portfolio, said John Stettler, director of benefit investments. The $2.1 billion defined benefit plan is looking to diversify. Funding will come from rebalancing six active EAFE portfolios. The current EAFE managers are Wellington; Morgan Stanley Asset Management; Goldman, Sachs; Jacobs; Global Asset Management; and Mercator Asset Management. Portfolio sizes were not disclosed.
