New York City Retirement System plans to reconsider at its February meeting whether to invest additional money in the five major tobacco stocks held in its passive portfolios, said Richard Halverson, deputy comptroller for pensions for the $55 billion fund. Trustees froze those holdings in June, but allowed active managers to continue investing in tobacco at their discretion.
