Winthrop Town (Mass.) Retirement System, with $22 million in assets, is searching for its first investment consultant to conduct an asset allocation study and help diversify the system's investment portfolio, said David Castellarin, town accountant and chairman of the board.
Finalists are Smith Barney, H.C. Wainwright and New England Pension Consultants. The board may make its selection at its Jan. 25 board meeting, Mr. Castellarin said.
The fund's assets are currently in a balanced fund run by J.&W. Seligman.
