* Fox Asset Management had managed large-cap equity portfolios for the Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County (Tenn.) Benefit Board and NUI Corp.; the type of portfolios was stated incorrectly in a Nov. 30 article. Employees who left the firm this summer included three managing directors; the number was overstated in the article. And, Fox's 11-person investment committee was reduced to a five-member committee following the departures; all members on the new committee had served on the larger panel as well.
* Median spending on Web sites was $14,000 in 1997 and $10,000 in 1996, according to Investment Counseling Inc.'s Competitive Challenges studies. Median promotional expense per million dollars of new assets was $153 in 1997. A story in the Nov. 16 issue gave incorrect figures.
* Grosvenor Capital Management LP, Chicago, managed about $3 billion in total assets as of last February. An incorrect date was given in a Nov. 30 article.
* An item in the Nov. 30 Hirings column incorrectly identified a Hartford Life offering. Changes were made to the company's Stag variable life insurance program.
