Of the 165 tax-exempt clients on retainer, 46 are corporate, 11 are public, 21 are union, 22 are foundation or endowment and 65 are hospital/health-care funds. The firm also provided services to six nonretainer tax-exempt clients during the past year, of which one was corporate, one was public, two were union and two were foundation or endowment funds.
There are 10 professional consultants. Fees are payable in both hard and soft dollars.
The firm provides separate account management, commingled and mutual funds and occasionally manager of managers services.
Tax-exempt retainer clients include University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Carpenters of Western Pennsylvania, Coopers & Lybrand LLP and UniHealth.
