Investment Advisers Inc. will liquidate four of its mutual funds due to ongoing asset losses.
Final liquidation plans for the IAI Government Fund, IAI Reserve Fund, IAI Latin America Fund and IAI Developing Countries Fund will come before shareholders for a vote on Sept. 23 in Minneapolis.
Assets in the four funds have been dropping for the last two years, making diversification difficult and increasing transaction costs, according to IAI's SEC filings. Total assets in the four funds are about $52.5 million, according to the proxies.
