NEW YORK -- INVESCO Inc. put all of the company's institutional fixed-income investment professionals under one umbrella by appointing James Marbach head of U.S. fixed income, a new position.
Mr. Marbach will manage the 42 fixed-income professionals working in Atlanta, Boston and New York.
He will work from the offices of INVESCO (NY), formerly Chancellor LGT Asset Management Inc., which was bought in May by INVESCO's parent company, AMVESCAP PLC..
Mr. Marbach will be responsible for investment policy and business management of the company's fixed-income business.
He formerly was managing director of the fixed-income group at Ark Asset Management, New York.
He was replaced by Ralph G. Mills and Bruce D. Phelps, portfolio managers who were promoted to co-managing directors. Messrs. Mills and Phelps will continue to handle their current accounts, according to Ark officials.
