Global equity program gets updated version
LONDON -- Style Investment Research Associates Ltd. has launched a PC-based enhanced version of its style software for global and regional equity portfolios. The London-based consultant previously offered analysis of equity portfolios on a country-by-country basis. The latest version adds regional equity analysis for pan-Europe, Europe (ex-U.K.), Southeast Asia, Southeast Asia (ex-Japan) and global portfolios.
What's more, the bottom-up software enables clients to do the analysis on their own PCs through a monthly updated CD-ROM, instead of having SIRA provide the analysis.
Developed with the support of William M. Mercer Ltd., London, and Stichting Pensioenfonds ABP, Heerlen, The Netherlands, the new software is appropriate for both money managers and plan sponsors, said Robert Schwob, founder and director.
Algorithmics offers updated software, data
TORONTO -- Algorithmics Inc., Toronto, announced a new version of its RiskMapper software and AlgoExpress electronic data. RiskMapper has interfaces to common data sources and provides data for market and credit risk measurement. The interfaces reduce the amount of data clients have to find, validate and reformat.

HONOLULU -- Pacific Century Trust has licensed San Francisco-based Advent Software Corp.'s Axys portfolio accounting and management software and Moxy trading and order management software. Pacific Century Trust licensed Axys for 40 users and Moxy for 20 users.

CECA, the Spanish Confederation of Savings Banks, has installed C*ATS Software for its new derivatives trading and risk management operation within its international treasury department. Jose Maria Verdugo, manager of the international treasury department, said CECA has one of the most sophisticated and active market rooms in Spain.

Internet proves worth in satellite spinout
LOS ANGELES -- Capital Management Sciences' Internet-delivered information products BondVu and InSite were unaffected by the problems with the Galaxy IV communications satellite.
"The Internet is showing itself to be an outstanding medium for broad distribution of real-time financial information," said James A. Kaplan, CMS president. BondVu provides fixed-income portfolio analytics and InSite provides real-time equity and fixed-income data.
Three sign up with AutEx service
BOSTON -- Morgan Stanley, Wheat First Securities and Abel Noser -- all of New York -- have made commitments to receive orders over Trade Route, the AutEx Group's order routing and executing reporting service. Some 32 brokers now are on TradeRoute, according to a statement from AutEx.
