Hampshire County Retirement System, Northampton, Mass., with about $100 million in assets, has chosen Cigna, Kennedy Associates and Phoenix Investment Partners as finalists in its search for an open-end real estate manager to run a $1 million to $3 million portfolio, said Mary B. Hannum, retirement administrator. The system might make its decision at its June 17 board meeting, she said.
Meanwhile, the system has picked Loomis, Sayles as a small-cap growth manager to run a $9.2 million domestic small-cap growth portfolio. Most of the money for the new manager came from John Hancock, which had been terminated earlier in the year. Dahab Associates is assisting.
