Joya C. De Foor, the new Long Beach City (Calif.) treasurer, is reviewing the city's $155 million 457 plan. As part of her duties, Ms. De Foor will administer the plan, and she's now familiarizing herself with the plan and its managers as well as investigating other options, including possibly adding a 401(k) type plan.
She stressed she is in the early stages of her review, but expects to be finished by the end of the summer.
The 457 plan now has three managers: ICM Asset, Aetna Retirement Services and Great Western Bank/National Deferred Compensation Inc.
Ms. De Foor replaced Richard Hilde, who resigned last year to become assistant treasurer of Orange County.
