The site, which can be accessed at www.calvertgroup.com/sr/proxy/proxy.htm, explains what a proxy is and how shareholder resolutions work. It also provides in-depth analysis of two issues Calvert is focusing on: sweatshop labor at Dillard's and Kmart; climate control at Ford and General Motors.
Public School Teachers' Pension and Retirement Fund of Chicago set a 3% allocation to venture capital and issued an RFP for venture capital managers. The venture capital allocation will be funded by reducing the $8.9 billion system's allocation to small-cap equities or emerging markets.
Executive Director Michael Nehf declined to comment. Mercer will assist.
The system also committed $5 million to the Walton Street Real Estate Fund II. The commitment will be funded from cash and the system's large-cap value allocation.
