Frederic Jolly, the ebullient managing director of Frank Russell Co.'s Paris office, is moving to London this summer to oversee the firm's continental European operations.
Mr. Jolly will be the point man on Russell's new joint venture with Societe Generale Asset Management, which will market Russell's multimanager funds across continental Europe, except for Holland. As managing director, continental Europe, he will oversee Russell's Paris and Zurich offices.
Pascal Duval, current director of consulting for Russell's Paris office, will assume the managing director mantle in the French capital.
But why is Mr. Jolly moving to London to oversee the continent?
"Implementing the SG/Russell asset management company will need a lot of resources from (Russell's) funds group in London," he said, noting he expects to hire a few more people. "It will be more efficient to run (the operation) from London."
Mr. Jolly also will have the ear of Len Brennan, head of international consulting. He will be in the same Cork Street office.
